Plan, develop, implement and coordinate the programs and activities of the Juvenile, Adult, and/or Admin services division.
To supervise staff engaged in general rehabilitation work and counseling programs at the Juvenile Detention Facility.
To perform specialized probation work such as that relating to intake, special rehabilitation programs, and the most serious cases; to serve as a mentor to entry and journey-level Probation Officers, and to serve in a lead worker capacity with a work unit.
To perform the most sensitive, complex and critical work requiring extensive knowledge and experience. Incumbents must exercise a high degree of professional judgment, show initiative, and work independently.
To perform specialized work such as providing staff training; to serve as a mentor to entry and journey-level Probation Correctional Officers, and to serve in a lead worker capacity in a Probation Department detention facility.
